• 🌱Our No-Till Forage Friendly Cover Crop Seed Mix was developed by our master gardeners to be no-till forage friendly, and to winterkill in the majority of US zones. All nine plants in this mix will winter-kill in zones 8 and cooler for those using no-till practices.
• 🌱Contains a blend of 9 cover crop seeds including Oats, Cowpeas, Fenugreek, Lentils, Millet, Radish, Brown Flax, Turnips, and Mustard Mix (Farmer's Favorite Blend). This blend of winter-killing annuals and grains improves erosion control, weed suppression, nitrogen fixation, nutrient foraging, soil tilth, and soil compaction reduction.
• 🌱Easily sown by hand broadcasting or using a push broadcast spreader. Spread 1-2 pounds per 1,000 square feet. Avoid oversowing unless you plan to till it under before the growth becomes too dense.
• 🌱If planted as a fall cover crop seed, each of these varieties will winter-kill, allowing for fall growth to decompose over the winter season. If growing in the spring or summer months, this mix will need to be terminated 2-3 weeks before growing a main crop.
